Bruce Beecroft has been the organist and choir director at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Lynn since 1982. St. Stephen’s is a magnificent historical church, built by a father in memory of his son, who died at the Battle of Gettysburg. When Longfellow was living in Nahant he wrote a poem called the Bells of Lynn; as he could hear these St. Stephen’s bells in Nahant.

Bruce studied organ at St. Paul’s in Concord, NH, with Normal Blake; he also studied piano with Albian Metcalf at Phillips Andover Academy and attended the New England Conservatory. He occasionally performs throughout the North Shore, and we are honored to have him participate in Christmas in Salem. His engaging program includes numbers from Handel and Bach as well as a sing-along.
